iba 2025: Concept solutions more in demand than ever
Baking solutions from kiosks and bakeries to artisanal production were the focus of the joint iba trade fair appearance of WIESHEU, WACHTEL ABT, and Atollspeed. The group showcased its concentrated expertise in the areas of convection, deck, rack, and hybrid technology in Düsseldorf. Over the five days of the trade fair, it became clear that holistic system solutions are more in demand than ever in the industry. "We were able to impress visitors with our concept of comprehensive baking solutions from a single source, under the WACHTEL, WIESHEU, and Atollspeed brands, and establish promising contacts at both national and international levels," says Marcus Gansloser, Managing Director of WIESHEU and WACHTEL. With its premium rack and deck ovens, WACHTEL addresses artisan bakeries and small production facilities. With its convection ovens, WIESHEU focuses on in-store baking at the POS, including bakery chain stores and bakeshops, as well as the food retail and convenience industry. The high-speed appliances of the Atollspeed H series combine hot air, impact heat, and microwave cooking for the preparation of hot snacks, making them the perfect addition to bakery branches, gas stations, convenience stores, or restaurants. "We look back on the past few days at iba with optimism, despite initial skepticism regarding the scheduling," says Gansloser.
With 985 exhibitors from 46 countries and more than 49,000 trade visitors from 149 countries, iba 2025 was once again the international hub of the baking industry after a year and a half. Technological trends such as automation, optimized production processes, increased efficiency, and sustainability were reflected above all in WACHTEL's premium rack and deck ovens. The Dibas blue2 PICCOLO C combination, jointly developed by WIESHEU and WACHTEL, was one of the highlight exhibits at the iba booth. The baking station combines the best of both worlds for maximum flexibility and efficiency: the modern convection baking technology of the Dibas blue2 and the Piccolo Pro Plus deck oven. The new generation of the proven WACHTEL ATLAS rack oven, the ATLAS EVO 3, which sustainably reduces energy costs without compromising on the quality of baked goods, and the modular baking system Dibas smart from WIESHEU, were also in focus.
The overall conclusion about the trade fair is positive: "Since the medium and long-term effects are still to be seen and the economic situation is currently difficult to predict, we are satisfied with our reduced exhibition space and are cautiously optimistic about the coming months," says Gansloser.
