Sustainability and a conscious approach to resources are gaining increasing importance worldwide – and this topic is also a focus at WIESHEU. With the aim of firmly anchoring environmental awareness in our corporate culture, WIESHEU GmbH has implemented a comprehensive environmental management system according to the international standard ISO 14001.
Comprehensive certification audits take place at our locations in Großbottwar and Wolfen. All company areas are examined in detail and successfully integrated into the environmental management system. The official confirmation of the ISO 14001 certification is another step towards the future, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
For WIESHEU, sustainability is a continuous process in which we take responsibility and implement concrete measures. This includes the careful use of natural resources, the reduction of our energy consumption, and the continuous optimization of our processes and products in terms of environmental compatibility.

In our production halls, we use – where technically possible – the waste heat from systems to avoid energy losses and optimize resource use. In addition, our ovens are largely made of recyclable materials, promoting responsible handling of raw materials.
Modern controls, high-quality insulation materials, digital data management intelligent baking control IBC, efficient shipping systems and LED lighting actively contribute tohigher energy efficiency in the store.
