The Zukunftsinstitut describes snackification as one of the megatrends. The change in eating culture is both a challenge and an opportunity for bakeries to win new customers and increase sales and revenue beyond sandwiches. According to satista, sales of snacks will total 3.82 billion euros this year and are forecast to grow to 4.85 billion euros by 2028.

The snack experts recommend offering the pre-prepared snacks chilled and preparing them ready-to-eat in the hybrid oven after ordering. Chilled products are prepared in just 30 to 90 seconds. The technology combines the positive properties of impingement and microwave technology. With impingement technology, a high-speed air stream is directed onto the food using nozzles.
